About Me

Hi! I'm Brayden Riddell. As a recent graduate of a Bachelors in Science in Game Design, I specialize in Technical Design, Systems & Mechanics Design, and UX (User Experience) Design as well as being a jack-of-all-trades generalist designer.

My experience with game developments starts in my middle school years where I started my own live-service online multiplayer Minecraft server that has been running for 9 years, with over 20,000 unique joins. I have also been working for Minecraft theme park servers, most notably McParks with over 450,000 unique joins. Ever since then, I've expanded my passion of video game development through my work, education, and personal projects.

 

My most important inspiration are the MMOs I played as a kid growing up such as Club Penguin, Toontown Online, Webkinz, and Wizard101. These games taught me proper online etiquette and safety while having an innovative social game design and made me want to continue the same for this new generation, which unfortunately is lacking.

In high school, I graduated from CHAMPS' Game Design and Programming Academy, which propelled my into pursing my Game Design degree at Champlain College.

    • As a CODA (Child of Deaf Adult) there are so many inaccessibility in real life and in video games that are overlooked, I strive to identify those to design and implement solutions

  • Cultivating sustainable and environmentally friendly practices

    • Having worked 4 years as an sustainability representative, I carry those practices with me everywhere I go! I'm that one person who goes through the recycling bin and properly sorts it.
